We had a very professional experience with Simon and Al Shirawi Solar in general. Very professional in approach and installation. Simon was not pushy at all and ably answered all of our questions. Commissioned Al Shirawi for installation of solar pv panels on the flat roof areas of our villa at Dubai Hills Estates. Extremely pleased with Al Shirawi through the entire process – from the initial concept design stage, through approvals, procurement, installation to ultimate grid connection. Unlike other vendors, Al Shirawi was very honest about the quantum of electricity that could be generated given the configuration of our usable terrace. In the final analysis, the system is out-performing the originally promised design capacity. I applaud the professionalism of the entire solar team. They adhered to the strict design timeline and installation of panels was done with minimal disruption. Given my over-all experience with Al Shirawi, I strongly recommend them.

I’m very happy with my experience with Shirawi Solar so far. The actual mechanical and installation work was surprisingly quick and smooth. The longest part of the process is the bureaucracy- dealing with DEWA, Emaar, etc. That is where the Shirawi team really excelled - it was smooth and painless and they helped shepherd the process at all stages. They’re a good team at an established company and I trust that they will stand by their work. In terms of solar production , the system is working great 5 months in. My electric bills have been slashed. I went with a 32 panel system and in every month aside from the heavy months (June for instance), my gross production has exceeded gross consumption. We’ll see about the long term “payback” calculation but looking at it in terms of immediate savings on electricity bill, the effect is dramatic and immediate. And it’s the right thing to do!
