Allianz Travel

I naively paid 2000AED for a comprehensive travel insurance from Allianz. I had a backpack with around 10,000AED worth of laptop and electronics stolen on a trip (grab and run), and submitted claims with police reports. What they did was to define all my electronics as "valuables" and then denied coverage since the "valuables" were not locked in a safe. (True story). They approved an amount that was far less than the insurance premium I had paid as a "gesture of good will". In the end I just took the 10,000 AED loss, and cancelled my insurance with them. It wasn't even worth the hassle to finalize an insurance claim. You may have to threaten with the insurance regulator to even get timely a response from these guys, the regulator is UAE Insurance Authority. Just a tip.

Website has bugs when you try to purchase a travel insurance, so website 0/5, but customer service agents are super helpful, Marian specifically is a 5/5.

I want to give rating 0 but I don't have that option so I gave them 1 star their service is very slow actually I bought a mobile insurance from Allianz insurance and I filed a complaint and after make registration and rest all formalities and they said they will collect my device with 24-48 hr but as 12 days are already gone but till now I haven't received any call from their side. I sent 4 mail as well but they never reply. So I called to their helpline no then they said it will get collect with 24 hr. But till now nothing happened nor they called me back. Poor experience. They just want profit they don't want guest satisfaction.

Please dont buy insurance from this company. They are a number one cheating insurance company in UAE. My baggage was delayed by 4 days and i raised a claim through their so called eclaim portal and never received any response even after two weeks passed. I send multiple emails complaining about the situation and never received any response. they provided a whatsapp number in their website for raising complaint but wont get any response either ! I am now going to raise a complaint with UAE insurance regulator and see that they are accountable or not.

Extremely unprofessional and poor response time for claims - had an emergency 7 days in hospital and it took them months with a lot of back and forth to get your money claimed. They work with nextcare which are not able to support ... you are better off going with any other travel insurance! if you want frustration and poor customer service; then go ahead and pay.
