BAPS Hindu Mandir, Abu Dhabi

Visited the temple recently in May and had a truly nice experience. It’s a beautiful place of devotion and open to people of all faiths. Just a heads-up—make sure to dress modestly (no shorts or sleeveless tops). If not, they do provide appropriate attire at the venue. You’ll also need to register, which is completely free and super easy—either online via their website or at the venue itself. The place is very well-organized. Due to the heat, they offered umbrellas and had free drinking water available. Even the tiles in the barefoot zone are designed to stay cool, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, it’s a serene and mesmerizing spot—definitely a must-visit!

I visited Mandir on 1st July between 5:00–5:30 PM, and I must say — the temple itself is absolutely stunning. It is peaceful, spiritual, and a true architectural marvel. As a first-time visitor, I was genuinely impressed by the structure and the serene energy it radiates. One of the security staff members inside the temple was especially kind — he took the time to explain how the temple was constructed and the materials used. Unfortunately, my overall experience was marred by the behavior of a security staff member at the entrance. I unintentionally took a photo without noticing the signage that mentioned photography was not allowed in that area. When the security approached me, instead of calmly informing me, he rudely said things like, “Don’t you have eyes? Can’t you read?” I immediately apologized, deleted the picture, and assured him it was a mistake. However, he continued to speak in an insulting and inappropriate tone, which was especially uncomfortable as a woman. While I fully respect and understand the temple’s rules, the way those rules are enforced matters — especially in a sacred place where people come seeking peace. The tone and words used by the staff member were completely unnecessary and disrespectful. To make matters more confusing, inside the temple, visitors were being encouraged over loudspeakers to take photos and share them social media — which clearly sends mixed messages to first-time visitors like me. What’s more concerning is that I noticed several reviews online highlighting similar issues with the behavior of the security staff, yet no visible changes seem to have been made. It’s disappointing that such a beautiful and spiritually significant place is being misrepresented by individuals who do not reflect the values of the temple. I sincerely hope the temple management will take this feedback seriously. This sacred space deserves to be represented by individuals who embody its grace, kindness, and spiritual dignit...

Visiting the BAPS Hindu Mandir is a magnificent and memorable experience. From the moment you arrive, the organization is impeccable, though it's important to remember that pre-registration is required and there are multiple security checks to ensure a safe visit for everyone. The journey to the temple is a walk from the parking lot, and visitors should be prepared for the heat, especially during the summer. However, any discomfort is quickly forgotten once you step into the temple grounds. The architecture is absolutely stunning, with a mesmerizing amount of intricate white marble work. Each and every pillar is a work of art, telling a unique story through its detailed carvings. The attention to detail and craftsmanship is truly breathtaking. The atmosphere inside is incredibly peaceful and quiet, offering a wonderful sense of serenity. While the idols and spiritual leaders are a part of the temple, the true highlight for me was the overall aesthetic and the profound sense of peace found in the beautiful surroundings. I highly recommend a visit to this beautifully organized and peaceful place. Just be sure to plan ahead for the registration and the walk under the sun.

Temple is very beautiful, the stone carving is excellent. Only downside is security checking and waiting time. You will frisked just like in the airport. Made to remove belt and wallets and stuff. Really don't understand it. Once inside the atmosphere is good and food court is also nice. Don't carry any luggage and they provide water for free. Staff is very friendly and guide you well.
