I've recently done a 13 vehicle Dune bashing +BBQ Dinner expedition with Certified Tourism, and it was amazing...the safari takes you over the desert dunes at a very high speed, while each driver test their passengers ability to handle the excitement. A first group stop takes you to a station where drivers let the air out of their tyres, a bathroom break or purchase facial scarves for protection from the sand. The dune bashing end in time to see the sun setting, before heading to the location for our dinner, show, camel riding and henna tattoos..all of which was planned perfectly for our group. Everything was included in the price, but do take along a little cash for tipping as it was well worth the money spent, the evening started off with a snack and non alcoholic drink or water, before the first set of performances, then the buffet opened up with a spread of delicious food. More entertainment followed and ended with a fire eater and his fireworks display...I highly recommend this excursion if ever in Dubai, it's a cultural experience not to be missed.

I recently visited the shared desert safari recommended by a friend and colleague, which was organized by Certified Tourism L.L.C. Upon arriving, I noticed that the vehicle had the company name on it, which gave me some assurance. However, the experience quickly went downhill. Initially, the supplier told us they couldn’t take us for dune bashing in Lahbab, citing some activities in the area. Later, they agreed to take us to Lahbab, but the camp they provided, Universal Desert Camp, was a complete disappointment. The camp was overcrowded, with more than 700 people, making it feel chaotic and uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the food ran out quickly, despite the 110 AED per passenger fee. I really don’t understand why they chose such a crowded camp, possibly to reduce costs. For the price paid, I expected a far better experience and would not recommend this safari to anyone.
