Please read this if you are planning on renewing your passport. 1. Make sure your marriage certificate is registered in Italy if not you wont be able to get your passport 2. To get the appointment wake at 4-5am and you will get the appointment if not cancel and try again the next day. 3. You need cash as they dont accept card 4. You need passport pictures and photocopy of your passport and UAE ID 5. Dont bother with emails or phone calls. Better to go face to face ( dont go too early as its busy) A big thank you to the whole team there. They are very kind and helpful.

As a Italian national I must say that the way that they treat their fellow citizens is horrible. The do kit answer the phones to begin with. Upon making an appointment you are instructed on which documents to bring. Once you arrive those documents are not sufficient. You are then asked to gather more documents and once you go through that you are then informed they are not able assit you are others are misisng. Why are they not able to assit you with all the proper information at the start? The worst part of this is that you do not even get to speak with anyone from the consulates office itself instead you. deal with two police officers

As i have another citizenship and Italian as well ive apply for the first time for italian passport here in dubai i gave the fingerprints what does that mean now cos they said the sistem is not working properly but they received the finger(ps: i thought it will be printed same day as i give the fingerprints) Is anything wrong or denied the application for the passport or how long i need to wait I would really appreciate if happened to anyone to give me answers Thanks

They were very nice to me. Literally did my passport in less than one hour. Staff very friendly

It’s so sad that as Italian citizen, this is the most useless consulate I ever known. You will not receive help from anyone in any form no calls no emails and also by going there they will just ignore. People are trying to sort important things out and you keep ignore your citizen. And like in Italy you guys are the same everywhere very sad humanity. Probably receive ridiculous amount of salary for not doing their jobs it’s a shame.
