Misleading contract terms, platform failure, and dismissive support — this is not how SaaS should work We signed up through Chatfood before it was acquired by Deliverect. We were forced to pay upfront for a full year with no monthly plan available, and we made it clear at the time that we had no intention to renew. But in March 2025, without any notification or visible renewal prompt, we were charged nearly $950 for another full year. The system had already stopped working. Our dashboard displayed “Trial expired”, and our outlet showed “Not accepting orders” for over a month. This was not just a bug—it made the platform completely unusable, with real impact on our business and customers. Meanwhile, the Deliverect support team took days to reply, offered no solution, and ultimately responded with copy-paste legal language about a 90-day cancellation clause buried in their Terms. All while their own Chatfood-branded help articles still stated that subscriptions could be canceled within 24 hours through the dashboard—which, in our case, showed no plan and offered no cancel button at all. Only after escalating did they admit we hadn’t had access since March 19—but instead of issuing a full refund, they offered a token refund for a small add-on (Dispatch). The core subscription—despite the platform being inaccessible—remains non-refundable. Their team was not just slow but dismissive, ignoring key parts of our messages and showing no interest in accountability or fair resolution. We’ve now filed formal complaints with Dubai Consumer Protection (DED) and Belgium’s FOD Economie, and we will continue sharing our experience publicly so other small businesses are not blindsided by this kind of behavior. For a company that claims to support restaurants, Deliverect has failed on transparency, platform reliability, and basic customer care. These aren't growing pains—they’re systemic problems that hurt the very businesses they claim to serve.
