Dr. Aneela Darbar - Neurosurgeon

Dr. Aneela Darbar is an extremely competent, skilled and compassionate neurosurgeon. I underwent a transsphenoidal pituitary cyst removal surgery operated by Dr. Aneela. My wife and I first met Dr. Aneela while seeking a second medical opinion and Dr. Aneela very patiently heard us and explained to us all about my medical issue and her approach towards surgery through the MRI images. Dr. Aneela even explained to us all the risk factors within the surgery and how she will aim to address them during the surgery. This was very comforting as we then knew that she not only has good experience in similar surgeries but also specialises in endoscopic neuro surgeries and is also meticulously aware of risk factors and possible mitigates. Not many doctors explain in writing and in drawing the risk factors and the fact that she did explain the risk factors in detail and her approach towards them gave us more confidence to undergo the surgery. We were not sure whether we need to immediately undergo the surgery or we should wait, to which Dr. Darbar explained the pros and cons and asked us to monitor the specific symptoms beyond which we cannot wait. True to her explanation within a week thereafter I started having the symptom which triggered us to make an immediate decision to undergo the surgery under Dr. Aneela. Till the surgery date Dr. Aneela and her nurse assistant Shinju kept a tab on us and ensured that I remain monitored and all my queries are being answered. A big thanks to Shinju here as well, as she was instrumental in acting as a bridge between us as the worried patients family and Dr. Aneela.
