My longest journey — to the best surgeon ❤️ In May of this year, during a routine medical check-up, I received a diagnosis that turned my world upside down — papillary microcarcinoma, a calcified 0.7 cm nodule in the middle lobe of my thyroid. From that moment on, I began the complicated journey of my life — the search for the right surgeon. I sent inquiries to top clinics across the globe — Korea, Germany, Israel, Russia, and the UAE. I read countless biographies of oncologic surgeons, studied patient reviews, spoke with multiple doctors… I even flew to Israel, still unsure whom I could entrust with my life. And then I found Fakeeh University Hospital — and more importantly, Dr. Sadir Alrawi. His biography, surgical experience, and the overwhelming number of heartfelt reviews about his work deeply touched me. Something told me: this is the one. I chose to place my life, my future, into his hands — and I thank God for guiding me to him. I want to take a moment to sincerely thank you, Doctor. I truly believe that when I was lost and unsure, Allah guided me to the right place — to you. Here is a small part of my journey that I would like to share. I underwent my first thyroid surgery on 26th February. After that, I was preparing for my RAI treatment, but unexpectedly, I was told that there were still some lymph nodes that needed to be removed. That news truly broke me. I felt helpless, thinking — how will I go through this again, and who can I trust now? And then, by the mercy of Allah, I found Dr. Sadir — one of the most trusted and skilled thyroid cancer surgeons in the UAE. I visited the clinic and met Dr. Faisal, a truly kind and reassuring person.
