Subject: Urgent Request for Public EV Charging Infrastructure in Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC) Dear DEWA Team, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing as a resident and electric vehicle (EV) owner in Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC), currently residing in Binghatti Onyx. I wish to highlight a growing concern shared by many residents in the area: the complete absence of public EV charging infrastructure in JVC, despite the rapid increase in population and building handovers. Dubai is globally recognized for its commitment to sustainable development and its Net Zero 2050 strategy. However, the current lack of EV charging stations in an entire master community like JVC is clearly misaligned with this vision. There are now dozens of completed buildings and thousands of residents, many of whom are switching to electric vehicles, yet not a single public EV charging station is available in the community. As an EV driver, I find myself in a very difficult position. In the event of low battery or an emergency, the nearest available public charger is over 16 kilometers away in Al Barsha or other neighboring areas—making it impractical, and in some cases, impossible to reach. This is not a matter of convenience; it is a matter of essential service access, much like fuel stations are for petrol vehicles. I strongly urge DEWA to consider the urgent installation of at least three public EV charging stations within JVC, each equipped with five or more charging points to meet growing demand. Furthermore, I would recommend that having at least pay-per-use EV charging be made a requirement for issuing building completion certificates (BCC) going forward. This would ensure that all future developments support Dubai’s green mobility goals from the outset. I deeply appreciate the work DEWA has done to advance sustainable energy across the city. Bringing EV charging infrastructure to underserved yet fast-growing communities like JVC is a critical step in continuing this leaders...

I just wanted to thank the young man who after working his shift, got on the metro and saw me a hot sweaty tourist struggling in the heat. He gave up his seat on the metro for my comfort. Later an even younger man passed out on the train. He also provided me with trip recommendations and made sure that I got off at the correct station. I gave him a special commemorative coin as a gift.

The most scam organization in Dubai... they just bill whatever the assume the bill should be for the month. On average I pay 2800 per month for a 4 bedroom villa with a big garden.for Jun 2024 I was (and still) outside the country with no AC on no heaters on.. and my bill is 3,450 AED. Same for last year 2023.. it's a scam, no actual reading.. having such an organization in Dubai the well known country is a shame...
