Honestly the most disappointing experience I’ve had so far. I was excited about hosting my guests in one of my favorite clubs in DIFC, but as soon as I requested a song, a security guard named Buddha stepped in and stated that if I didn’t pay a tip to the DJ he wouldn’t play my song. The justification for this comment was “based on my years of experience, if you don’t pay, you don’t get your song”. This was uncalled for because I had a table and asked for the song with all due respect, but the fact that the security guard commented on my request was unnecessary. Hence, I’m disappointed by his lack of professionalism and it truly ruined my night because I am a regular customer in this specific club and this treatment is not what I paid/signed up for. Upon leaving, I raised this issue with the security who was responsible for this and he said “ I told you this because you were waiting for 10 minutes”. I was waiting for less than 2 minutes because I didn’t want to interrupt the DJ given my respect for the profession (this can be checked on the CCTV footage) but this security was insistent on him being right and I preferred not to argue.
