I have had an amazing experience in transporting all my belongings from dubai to New York. Our point of contact was Maria in the Dubai office. She is very prompt and professional and kept us updated all along. The entire crew who managed the pick up from our Dubai residence were extremely professional. Goods were well packed and we’ve had nil damages. The delivery in New York was on time as scheduled, again very professionally handled. I used Grospiron for a local relocation in Dubai. The administrative team has been very responsive and flexible. The team was really professional and efficient. In more than a dozen house moves, I never had an issue with a moving company until I hired Grospiron Dubai. They are highly unprofessional. Grospiron was supposed to pack and load my belongings in a container on 14th February. Two days before, at the beginning of the weekend, they informed me that they have already booked the container, however there was a minor delay in obtaining the container. They said there is nothing to worry about, they confirmed many times that the container is booked, and they will keep my belongings in their warehouse till the container is released. To my surprise, on 22nd February, I was suddenly advised by Grospiron that the “so called” container booking has slipped out of their hands, and next container booking is for March only, and I have to bear an increase in freight cost by USD 3,600 although the contract clearly stipulates that "services for which orders have been accepted will be invoiced at the price agreed at the time of the order". When I asked Grospiron Dubai to show proof that they had actually booked the container for February as initially claimed, they were unable to provide a booking confirmation. When I refused to pay for the increase in container cost as it seems that they didn’t have any booking (unlike what they were claiming) and this is not as per agreed price, they did not hesitate to threaten me knowing that I have already left the country, they are holding all my belongings, and I had already paid a 50% deposit. The “so called” option they gave me was either paying USD 3,600 additional for freight cost because of their inability to secure a container or, if I decide to go for another moving company, they will charge me USD 3,400 for packing my belongings which is extremely extortionate and not really a choice, since in any case I will have a major financial loss.
