Utterly Disgraceful Experience – Gulf Air Is Not Worth the Risk Hands down one of the worst airline experiences we’ve ever had. Our flight was canceled without a single word of prior notice — no email, no SMS, no call. We only found out at the airport, left completely stranded with zero explanation. To make things worse, we made over 50 calls to Gulf Air’s Dubai office trying to get answers — not a single one was answered. It’s beyond frustrating. This is not just poor service; it’s complete negligence and disrespect to paying customers. What makes this even more outrageous is that we were traveling with an infant and a toddler. The lack of communication and support made the situation incredibly stressful and unnecessarily traumatic for our family. Gulf Air clearly has no regard for the wellbeing of families or children. Our entire travel plan was ruined, we lost time and money, and Gulf Air couldn’t care less. Their customer service is nonexistent, their communication is atrocious, and the whole operation feels completely unreliable. Do yourself a favor: DO NOT book with Gulf Air. This company is a disaster. They don’t just drop the ball — they act like the ball doesn’t even exist. Zero stars. Avoid at all costs.

I’m extremely disappointed with Gulf Air. On July 2nd, I was supposed to fly with my two younger sisters from Dubai. Each of us had one extra suitcase due to shopping during our trip. We were fully prepared to pay for the extra luggage, as any airline would normally allow. But to our shock, when we arrived at the airport, Gulf Air asked us to pay $1,045 for the extra bags! That’s more expensive than the actual flight tickets. Completely outrageous and unacceptable. As a result, I had to miss my flight, book a new ticket with Qatar Airways, and send our bags through a cargo agency in Deira. And even with all of that, it still cost me less than what Gulf Air was charging just for the extra luggage. I checked Qatar Airways’ baggage fees, and it was only around €200 — way more reasonable. I will never fly with Gulf Air again, and I’ll make sure to warn as many people as possible through my social media so they don’t fall into the same trap.

noone ever picks up the phone in sales in dubai. you cant change your meal and so go hungry on long flights! not good customer service.

This office don't handle ticket purchases and complaints. Very unhelpful. Not worth flying with gulf air. If there is any modifications to a booking, they make you run around to get it sorted.

Had flight from Munich to Bahrain and then to Dubai, expected to land in Dubai 10:30pm. We departed from Munich 2 hours late, cabin crew told me the connection flight would wait, when we reached at the airport it was chaotic. At the counter she simply gave me tickets for a new flight at 2am (!!!!) and a meal voucher at the food court (the picture of this “fantastic compensation is attached). When I said at least we get point for 4hours stay and 6hours delay total at that point, she lied stating they do not have a lounge and we get a room in the airport hotel to rest but rooms were not ready even. After a while we had to go to another counter to get the hotel room booking, so we rested in the hotel for like 2-2,5h and went to boarding, only to sit and wait again and boarding an hour late, means we landed in Dubai at around 5:30am with a total of 7hours delay and no sleep. No apologize, no understanding, even stuff itself said in a funny way “welcome to gulf air” making fun of the situation. I have never experienced anything like this, even Pegasus and Ryanair are not having such delays.
