Assalamualaikum 🙏. I had a very unpleasant and distressing experience in front of Hamel Al Ghaith Mosque. While taking a photo of a public advertisement displaying “Haircut 15 AED,” which included only the ad and some items on the ground (no individuals), I was approached by three men. One of them, who stood out with a curly afro hairstyle, wearing a black hoodie with white text, grey long pants, and black-and-white Puma sneakers, was particularly aggressive. They demanded I delete the photo, and their behavior felt threatening. As an Asian, I strongly felt this was a case of racial discrimination. Their hostility seemed unwarranted and targeted. To comply and ensure my safety, I deleted the photo and left the area immediately. This incident left me feeling harassed and unwelcome in what should be a public and peaceful space. I have attached a photo showing the back of one of the men involved, hoping this helps the authorities address this behavior and ensure respect for everyone.
