I recently visited Hippo Box Supermarket located inside Dubai Mall, and I must say, it was a pleasant surprise! Despite being tucked away in one of the busiest malls in the world, the store offers a refreshingly convenient and efficient shopping experience. What I liked: • Compact but well-organized: The layout is smartly designed, making it easy to navigate and quickly find essentials without wandering around endlessly. • Self-service convenience: The fully automated checkout system was a standout feature. It’s fast, intuitive, and perfect for quick grabs, especially for tourists or mall employees on a break. • Product variety: For a small-format supermarket, the range of products—snacks, drinks, personal care items, and ready-to-eat meals—is quite impressive. • Clean and well-maintained: The store was spotless, well-stocked, and staff were present (though minimal), ensuring everything ran smoothly. What could be improved: • Limited fresh items: If you’re looking for fresh produce or a wider selection of groceries, this might not be the right stop. • Pricing: As expected in a premium location like Dubai Mall, prices are slightly on the higher side compared to regular supermarkets. Overall: Hippo Box is a smart, modern shopping solution for anyone needing a quick and easy retail stop. Perfect for on-the-go visitors or mall employees. I’d definitely drop by again for a quick bite or essentials

One of the best local supermarkets around! Hippo Box is such a hidden gem — clean, well-organized, and surprisingly well-stocked with everything from fresh produce to international snacks. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and I love how quick and efficient the checkout is. Prices are reasonable, and they often have great deals you won’t find elsewhere. Definitely my go-to spot for everyday groceries. Highly recommend it to anyone nearby!

Hippo Box Market in China Town – Dubai Mall is such a fun Chinese supermarket! 🛒 They have a wide variety of snacks, sweets, fruits, ready-to-eat food, skincare, and more — all at great prices. I tried some of the sweets and they were delicious! I always stop by on my way to Vida Dubai Mall hotel. A must-visit every time I’m in Dubai Mall!

We visited Hippo Box Asian Supermarket at Chinatown in Dubai Mall and were pleasantly surprised! Got a sushi box for just AED 20—and they even have options for AED 16 or 18. The taste was pretty decent for the price, and we really enjoyed it. We also grabbed a sachet pack of Bibigo sliced kimchi, which was super convenient and tasty. Perfect for a quick side dish! There was a promo on drinks too, with tons of Asian tea options. Despite being in Dubai Mall, the prices were surprisingly affordable—some even cheaper when on promo. Great spot for Asian snacks, sushi, and more!

We visited Hippo Box at Dubai Mall for the first time and were amazed by the wide variety of Asian food products they offer.
