my money got stolen 1500 USD and my waterproof jacket as well. The place doesn't have cameras in the corridors and definitely not in the rooms. so anyone can get in and out and if you just left anything valuable unattended for 10 15 minutes. especially if the thief knows your ins and outs. it will be taken and you will never be able to know what how or when it was taken. the money was stolen from my wallet. which is usually inside my cross bag. I left my bag in the room unattended because I went to take a shower. I always kept my laptop and cross bag in the locker during night. but in the morning. I was going out and i got the bag out .. left it on my bed and headed to take a shower. this is the only time I think it was stolen at. the one who stole the money knows 100% that I have dollars on my wallet. and only 1 or 2 people saw this. unfortunately even if I suspect anyone my moral values and beliefs prevent me from accusing anyone. especially if I have little to no tangible evidence. When I arrived at the place i was extremely happy and the vibe was good. but soon after this situation my whole experience was ruined and I had plans to visit many places, I lost appetite to do anything. couldn't think about anything but going back to my home country. again the place is fine till something like this happen. do not expect anything from anyone, the management won't do any investigations. the police won't make any investigation or even question anyone. he literally told me; forget about it and it's ur mistake you stay in such a place !! Dubai Police the safest city in the world they say !! . all the blame will be on you only. as If I have to stick to my belongings 24 hours and wear everything I have in my luggage all the time. I have been to 11 countries and been to so many hotels and hostels. never I have I ever seen such a cold reaction to a theft incident from the place nor the police. but anyway. God knows best and I will never forgive.

The best hostel well located in Dubai marina/ JBR opposite the tram station, 5 minutes walking distance to the beach With an amazing staff. I hardly recommend you homestar if you want to have an unforgettable holiday 🤭😎

Second time in this hostel in 18 months! The best hostal in Dubai Marina - JBR for sure. Good vibes, good views, parking, swimming pool, the owner is really good guy and helped you with everything... You have all you need Here! Good shops down there, supermarket grandiose with hot food at really good price. 4 days in october I pay $60 in Total! Unbelieveble! I will come back there everytime that I can. Thanks guys!

I had made a booking for my stay during a trip to Dubai, but unfortunately, heavy floods and rain hit the city, causing widespread disruption. My flight was also cancelled due to the adverse weather conditions. Despite the unforeseen circumstances and the clear impossibility of reaching the hostel safely, hostel refused to cancel my booking. Their inflexibility and lack of understanding during such a challenging time were truly disheartening. I strongly advise potential guests to reconsider booking with this hostel, if they value customer service and flexibility. In times of crisis, a hotel's response can truly make or break a guest's experience, and unfortunately, Homestar Hostel fell short in this regard.
