We had a wonderful experience at Mama Shelter Dubai! The hotel is stylish, clean, and has a really fun atmosphere — especially the rooftop area and pool. A special shout-out to Denis from the team — he was incredibly kind and helpful during our stay. It’s always a pleasure to meet staff who truly care about guests and go the extra mile. Would definitely recommend this place and hope to come back again!

As a proud Tanzanian, the highlight of my stay wasn’t just the fantastic pools that kept my toddler entertained—it was the incredible warmth and hospitality of the staff. Special thanks to Norbert, Said, Elizabeth, Uncle( forgot his name) and the amazing chef, who truly made us feel at home. Their friendliness and genuine care brought the spirit of “Mama’s Shelter” to life. They went above and beyond—playing with our toddler, offering help whenever needed, and even assisting my wife with preparing food for the kids. Knowing that they were from East Africa added a beautiful, familiar touch that meant so much to us. The hotel’s cultural diversity is unmatched, and it felt like a space where everyone belongs. Without a doubt, this will be our go-to place whenever we’re in Dubai, and I’ll wholeheartedly recommend it to any fellow Tanzanians traveling with family.

During our recent stay at the hotel, we encountered several issues that significantly affected our overall experience, particularly as we were traveling with young children. Upon entering our room, we noticed the presence of ants and other insects, which was highly concerning and not in line with expected hygiene standards. Prior to arrival, we had requested a baby cot as part of our booking. Although we were informed that it was subject to availability, we were surprised to learn upon check-in that the hotel does not provide baby cots at all. However, after further inquiry once we were in the room, a cot was eventually provided—but it was placed flat on the floor, making it unsuitable and unsafe for an infant. The hotel features three swimming pools, one of which is designated as a children’s pool. Unfortunately, the water in the kids’ pool was noticeably colder than in the other two pools, making it uncomfortable for children to use. When we asked staff about the temperature difference, we were not given a clear explanation, nor was any action taken to address the issue. In addition to these concerns, the service throughout our stay was inconsistent and often disappointing. Staff members were generally impatient and, although they assured us they would assist, they frequently failed to follow through. For instance, we requested an additional laundry bag which never arrived, and the valet service took an excessively long time to retrieve our vehicle. The breakfast experience was particularly frustrating. The dining area was overcrowded, and there were no available tables when we arrived. Rather than assisting guests in finding seating, the staff instructed us to locate a table ourselves—despite the clear lack of available seating.
