I love to visit local libraries and MBRL is a great place for studying/working. Each floor is dedicated for a certain category of books. There are study rooms, meeting rooms and casual seating. Some operate on first come first serve and some require reservation. You can book a spot for study/meeting rooms at the information center in ground floor. The library is very quiet and well-maintained. Highly recommend if you are looking for some focus time. Don’t miss the huge wall of Arabic collection in ground floor! There’s a cafe as well, although the options are limited.

A beautiful place to read, study or just to have some peaceful time. The library is so quiet with a beautiful modern design. I found that there is museum in the last floor, so many things that you can see there. It was great experience overall.

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Library in Al Jaddaf is an absolute dream for any reader or student. With seven storeys of beautifully organized book sections, this place combines modern technology with peaceful, inspiring spaces. The architecture itself is stunning, and every floor is thoughtfully laid out with cozy seating areas, complete with electric sockets for charging. There’s a virtual reality section, instant translation equipment, and free WiFi throughout the building. They’ve got dedicated conference rooms and quiet study rooms that are perfect for group work or focused study sessions. Around 4pm, they even serve complimentary Arabic coffee with dates — a thoughtful touch if you’re there for hours and need a little pick-me-up. The ground floor café is another highlight, and there’s even a piano there that anyone can play. On the very top floor, you’ll find two small museums showcasing rare books, manuscripts, and historical collections — a must-visit for literature and history enthusiasts. Step outside the back of the library and you’ll find a beautiful creek view, plus seasonal events and food stalls that add to the charm. It’s located in Al Jaddaf — super easy to reach by public transport. Just take the Green Line to Creek Station, and it’s about an 8–10 minute walk from there. Overall, this isn’t just a library — it’s a full-on cultural experience. Highly recommend spending a few hours (or more) here.

I got the opportunity to visit this marvelous library for a Korean film festival event. The event was set in their gorgeous AV room and the staff were pretty friendly. Special mention to the service staff who helped me retrieve something I lost, which got returned through their lost and found reception desk. The interior of the library was absolutely stunning, especially the design of escalators, bookshelves and libraries. The walk from creek metro station to the library was a bit shady tbh, especially if you are alone. 💯 Will visit again.
