Next'House - JBR Beach Hostel

Overall was a decent enough stay. The aircon was good, the beds comfy and the location was decent near the marina. Overwhelmingly smelt of mould though - it’s got a massive damp issue in the bathroom with mould all around the shower (one shower for all guests to share) Also I can’t tell what the vibe of the place was. Definitely didn’t feel like a social hostel. Lots of people sat around the living area in silence on their phones all day.

Honestly THE best hostel I’ve travelled to in my lifetime, in the world! It was so clean, the location was perfect for nearby places to work on your laptop, I would check out rove hotel through Letswork app. It’s in the centre of JBL, 2 mins walk from the beach, and 24 hour supermarkets etc.. I’ve kept the best till last…. The staff here are elite! And this hostel has new people coming through it every day from different countries, with different success stories etc. I got to make strong friendships, good business connections… I’ll be coming here again whenever I’m in Dubai as I have not yet tried their gym and swimming pool 😂

I really enjoyed staying at this hostel! The atmosphere is quiet and comfortable, with fresh renovations and a harmonious design that pleases the eye. The kitchen is well-organized, with convenient spaces for each guest, making the stay even more enjoyable. A special thanks to the staff, especially Mickey, who creates a friendly environment and takes great care of everyone. He welcomed me warmly and even offered a massage chair — it was an unexpected and delightful touch that left a great impression!

Before anything location is 10/10 if you want to visit and hang around JBR and marina as you are literally one staircase away from the JBR. I don't recommend getting the 12 room though get the 6. I stayed just one night but couldn't get a good sleep but mainly it was because other guests who kept making noises which isn't the hostels fault. My big issue though is with the smell, there is a weird smell in the room and another weird smell for the blankets that is stuck to my clothes now which i don't is from the laundry soap they use or what but it isn't pleasant. If you feel easy to sleep anywhere then this is a great option but for those who are picky sleepers i'm not sure if this is the best option for you but the best you could do is to atleast get the room for 6 not 12
