NMC Royal Hospital & Pharmacy, DIP
Reviews
I recently visited NMC Royal Hospital, and I was impressed with the newly renovated space — everything is clean and well-maintained. The service from the nurses and doctors I encountered was exceptional, especially Dr. Athira. I really appreciated her energy and passion in explaining the steps I needed to take with my medication. However, there was one issue I encountered at reception. There was a delay in receiving my sick leave certificate, which I was promised would be sent within an hour. I emailed but received no response, and when I followed up in person, I was told to check on the second floor without a clear resolution. It was disappointing to not have this issue resolved promptly as promised. This is an area that needs improvement to ensure timely service. Thank you to Mbaye at reception for your assistance!
It's the best decision that i choose nmc royal hospital for my pregnancy journey until i deliver my baby boy. Dr. Surekha is a very experienced doctor and very good doctor as well as doctor mary the doctor of my baby she is very friendly and before we go home for our discharge she even came to checked us one last time and all the nurses and staff are very friendly, accomodatìng and supportive and always there to help you if you need something. Nurse noorniza as well is very good nurse she assist us on our discharge and explain everything that needs to be done and all informations needed for us as a first time parent. They even gave us bag that has a lot of things inside that can help first time mom like me and coordinator chaima is the one who handover and also there if you need someone to ask anything. Can't thank them enough. Ps the room is also very nice and everyday someone is coming go clean it, its like you are in a hotel and actually sometimes even better. Highly recommended.
We are deeply disappointed with the behavior of the security personnel present on Friday night, the 24th, at 11:13 PM, at the main entrance of Royal NMC Hospital. Our mother was emergency admitted earlier that day due to severely high blood pressure and sugar levels. After more than 8 hours of treatment, she was discharged. We had booked a taxi for her pickup, but unfortunately, the driver couldn’t access the emergency entrance. So, we decided to go to the main entrance by foot and requested a wheelchair from the emergency room security. He told us that all wheelchairs were occupied. I then walked to the main entrance, where I found a wheelchair, but just as I was about to use it, another emergency patient arrived, and I gave it to her instead. When I asked the main entrance security personnel for another wheelchair, I was told there were none available. Meanwhile, our taxi had been waiting, and it had already been 15 minutes. What upset me the most is what happened next: as I was returning to my mother, I saw that same security guard take another available wheelchair from a nearby vacant room—after clearly telling me there were none. This was extremely disappointing. Because of this lack of support, my mother, who was still weak and in discomfort, had to walk all the way to the main entrance—a walk that took her 10 minutes, while three security personnel stood by and watched without offering assistance. We are sharing this not to tarnish the hospital’s image—because we did receive excellent medical care—but to bring this serious issue to the attention of hospital management. The attitude and lack of compassion shown by your security team reflects poorly on the reputation of what is otherwise considered one of the best hospitals in the region. We sincerely hope you address this issue and train your security personnel to treat all patients with respect, empathy, and kindness—regardless of nationality. After all, we all share the same blood color: red.
Excellent service. We went for maternity and I must say it exceeded our expectations. We got a room upgrade, all the services provided were top class and great. The staff was highly professional. Ms. Chaima was our maternity coordinator and she helped us in every way possible. Dr. Monica Mangla was excellent in the whole process. Nurse Ms. Julie is a highly trained professional who guided us for the steps post maternity. We highly recommend NMC Royal hospital to everyone.
