Old Town - Qamardeen District

Located close to the iconic Burj Khalifa this part has several apartment complexes and stand alone bungalows. Nice place for a stroll or a quick meal.

The old town is a unique, beautiful and crowded part of Dubai. Everywhere you look there are small museum in old buildings and it's very easy not to notice them because there are only small labels indicating that there is some kind of museum. Very nice part of the town.

The buildings are made very nicely. My feeling is it's made for tourists...not historical area. I have to agree with some reviews that Dubai is very safe, clean and well organized city although I prefer countryside, it is nice to see it once in the life.

Dubai Museum and encounter colourful dioramas and enlightening historic exhibits. Housed in the Al Fahidi Fort, this is the oldest existing building in the city and a must-visit for a taste of old Dubai. Built in 1787, this fort was once the monarch's base, a fortified residence, and weapons arsenal and prison, before being renovated during the reign of Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum.
