One&Only Spa

I recently visited the One&Only Spa and was left disappointed, especially knowing how outstanding it used to be 10 years ago. Back then, it was easily one of the top 3 spas in Dubai. Today, I wouldn’t place it in the top 10. The facilities were surprisingly limited. There was only a small sauna that could fit just two people, a plunge pool that was neither cold nor warm—just an uninviting in-between—and a steam room that barely worked. The steam only reached the ceiling, and as soon as it began to drop to a usable level, it stopped. The spa was open to both men and women during the afternoon, which made the limited space even more noticeable. After using the sauna briefly and trying the plunge pool, we returned to find the sauna already occupied. There was nothing else to do besides sit around and play chess—hardly what you'd expect from a luxury spa. We raised concerns about the steam room at reception. They asked us to wait while they checked, then came back with a vague response: “That’s just how it is.” We pressed again, and again were told, “Please wait.” After about 30 minutes of this, we were finally taken to a proper steam room located in the hammam—which had been empty all along. It felt like we had to insist repeatedly just to get basic service. We also asked several times if we could start our treatments earlier, but were always told, “We’ll check,” with no follow-up. The treatments (massage and facial) were fine—average at best. Nothing like the exceptional quality I once associated with this spa. Finally, when settling the bill, I mentioned my entitlement to a 20% discount. They confirmed it, but had only applied a 10% reduction. I had to point it out before it was corrected. Overall, this was not the experience I expected from a spa with such a prestigious past. A real disappointment.

Shijo was absolutely incredible—one of the best therapists I’ve ever had. His technique and calming presence truly made the experience unforgettable. The entire spa team was equally professional, warm, and attentive. A five-star experience from start to finish!

I did the royal hammam for the second time but unfortunately the lady wasnt good.. i dont remember her name unfortunately, she talked alot during the treatment, kept asking questions about my skin and hair routine i couldn’t relax, then she kept asking me if the water is cold or not and it was clearly extremely cold and extremely hot when she changed it. She should have checked that first before testing it on me. Then she also didnt turn on the steam properly, i had better steam experiences in much different places. Then she put a syrum on my face and kept poking the sharp end of it on my face instead of outting it on the skin only. It was not royal at all lol .. More like a 80 dhs hammam not a 675 dhs one Wont go there again . The only good side was the locations beauty and luxury and the usage of the steam and sauna rooms. Thats why i gave it 2 stars.

This review is only about the spa, which was quite a disappointment. Facilities include a steam room that wasn’t working properly, a tiny Finnish sauna, a very small (child-sized) pool with cold water, and a hammam that’s only accessible if you’ve booked a treatment. The common area is female-only until 1 PM. BTW if you forget a swimsuit, be informed that a disposable one on-site has only the bottom part (the panties) The massage was okay — nothing special. In my experience, for this price, you're better off going to Zabeel Saray, which offers a much larger, female-only spa zone and a better overall experience.

I had an amazing experience at the spa with Mr. Ayoub. We did the full hammam treatment, and it was truly exceptional from start to finish. He was professional, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. I left feeling completely relaxed and refreshed. Highly recommended!
