I’ve been a loyal client at this salon for almost 4 years and always left happy — until my most recent visit in May. I went in to refresh my highlights, as I’ve done every time before, but this time a different technique was suggested (airtouch). During the session, I felt intense heat on my scalp and noticed a section of hair break off when the foils were removed. I was told it was “normal,” which didn’t sit right with me. I was charged 2,600 AED — the highest I’ve ever paid there (previous visits for the same service with my long hair were between 1,600–1,900 AED). I followed up thinking it might have been a mistake, but was told there was a price increase and due to my hair length — even though my hair is always long. After washing and styling my hair at home, I realized something was wrong: the highlights were patchy, uneven in tone, and didn’t have the usual ashy finish I’ve always had. Instead, I was left with gold, orange, and dry, visibly damaged sections — especially at the back. Two other stylists have since confirmed it appears to be heat damage. I politely raised my concerns and returned for a correction. Unfortunately, it didn’t improve. After 2 months of chasing them and asked for a refund or a fair resolution, my messages were eventually ignored. I even visited the salon in person and unfortunately was met with shouting and rudeness — despite having been a loyal customer for years. This experience has been incredibly disappointing. Paying 2,600 AED for damaged, uneven results and poor treatment afterward is just unacceptable. Hair is personal — and when a trusted salon handles it poorly and refuses accountability, it leaves a lasting impact. I hope sharing my experience helps others make informed decisions.
