Exceptional Service – A Truly Memorable Experience at River Island, Dubai Mall I rarely write reviews, but my experience yesterday at River Island Dubai Mall truly deserves recognition. As someone who shops only once a year for all my needs, I didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as I did. Thanks to Elika, the experience felt less like shopping and more like spending time with a friend who genuinely cared about how I looked and felt. Her support in helping me select and match outfits was exceptional. She was patient, stylish, and incredibly thoughtful. Her attitude transformed my quick visit into a full wardrobe refresh; from the same store. I also want to extend my appreciation to Nirmeen, the manager. I had a brief but insightful conversation with her at checkout, not realizing she was the area manager. The store’s calm, positive, and supportive environment clearly reflects her leadership. It’s rare to see such authentic energy across a retail team; it speaks volumes about how she manages people and culture. As an HR professional, I know how hard it is to create this level of engagement on a shop floor. But what I saw was a team that felt empowered, inspired, and truly happy to be there. That’s no coincidence. Thank you again, Elika and Nirmeen — I’ll definitely be back.

Really disappointing experience at this store. My friend tried on just three outfits—literally three—and when she stepped out of the trial room, one of the staff members looked at the few dresses hanging and said, “Wow, you were trying on so many outfits,” in a tone that was clearly judgmental, not playful. It completely caught me off guard and made me feel embarrassed for no reason. I wasn’t being difficult, I wasn’t making a mess—I was just trying to find something I liked, which is the whole point of having trial rooms in the first place, right? It’s not okay to make paying customers feel like they’re being a nuisance for simply trying on a few things. Honestly, that one comment ruined the entire experience for me. I walked out without buying anything, and I doubt I’ll be going back.

My God, I am speechless, the service I received in this store from Shubrah is unmatched. I've been in luxury stores and they haven't been as attentive and helpful as Shubrah. The management need to give her a raise!! The manager, Mercy was also so amazing.
