Royal Falcon were engaged by a third party to transport our group from Dubai airport to our hotel in Oman. However, they out-sourced the job (as we subsequently discovered from the driver's documentation) and we were unable to complete our outward journey as the driver/vehicle did not have the correct documentation. 6 hours later we were back at Dubai airport trying to find flights. Royal Falcon gave very poor customer service - the vehicle we travelled in was very far removed from the luxurious vehicles they show on their website and the person I spoke to made no efforts to sort out the issues. He claimed the there had been a change in the regulations regarding border crossings. As a provider of this service they should have known about any changes. However, my sense was that there was not a change in regulations but that they had simply outsourced the job without ensuring that the service could be provided by this sub-contractor. Our driver did not appear to be aware of the procedures at the border. We were assured by the border officials that OUR paperwork was in order, but that the driver and his vehicle did not have the correct documentation. Eventually, back in the UK, I did receive some compensation, but it left me approx £500 out of pocket. If I lived in UAE I would have sued the company but being UK based this was not a realistic possibility. MY ADVICE IS DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
