I was assisted by Mr Hussain for my mother’s affidavit on 23 July morning and he was extremely helpful, pleasant and efficient. Work which normally takes few hours he got the documents ready within 5 minutes considering that my mother is quite old and could not sit for long time. In addition the lady who assisted me on Counter and other staff on counters inside were extremely helpful and pleasant. I am very thankful to the team.

First-Time Visit to SGVIS – What You Should Know Beforehand (POA Attestation) Today was my first time visiting SGVIS to get my Power of Attorney (POA) attested. Before going, I read a lot of negative reviews online, which helped me mentally prepare for any surprises – and some of them did happen. So, I’m writing this review to clarify some important points that are not clearly mentioned on their website, in the hope it helps others navigate the process more smoothly. 1. Passport Photo Requirements The required photo size is 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm, not the smaller thumb-sized photo. If your photo doesn’t meet the size requirement, they will ask you to take a new one on the spot. They offer an in-office photo service for AED 32 (for 6 photos), even if you already have a soft copy. 2. Passport Copy Requirements You must bring copies of the first page, second page, and the last page (the one with your address) of your passport. If you forget, printing costs are: AED 1 per copy AED 2 per printed page 3. Attestation Fee Clarification The website states that attestation costs AED 93 per document. However, if your document requires multiple signatories (e.g., three applicants), the AED 93 fee is charged per person. In my case, the total fee was AED 279 (AED 93 x 3). This detail is not mentioned on the website, so please keep it in mind, especially for family-related documents. 4. Payment Mode & Extra Charges While card payments are accepted, there is an additional 2% merchant fee that you must pay (SGVIS does not cover this). To avoid this, carry enough cash. 5. Document Delivery Options Standard delivery is through courier and costs AED 32 within the UAE. Delivery time is 2 to 3 days. 6. Please note that even if you complete an online booking and secure a date, the security guard at the entrance follows a token system based on a first-come, first-served basis.
