Somewhere Dubai Mall

We had a great experience at Somewhere in Dubai Mall for lunch. The food was exceptional, we had the hummus, chicken skewers and the beef Shawarma Beetroot rice. The service was also top notch. Both Nestor and Ali were amazing. Furthermore the view overlooking the Dubai Fountain is spectacular! I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Dubai mall to come stop by for a bit to eat.

Spacious dining area, serving creative twists on delicious Arabic cuisine beautifully presented. Staff are friendly and attentive, though one Arab employee struggled with the Emirati dialect, which was noticeable with the mostly local crowd. The host could use a warmer smile to elevate the welcome.

I visited this place 3 times over the last 4 years. The first visit impression was that it was overpriced and low on quantity, which made me avoid eating the 2nd time; however, this changed this last visit (June 2025). The food was phenomenal to say the least: every order was spot on and bite was a bliss. The clear winner was the Mushaken Fatta which was a recent addition - the rootbeer rice with shawarma really defines the place for us. The staff were friendly as always. The only downside was that the inside dining area is too crowded and noisy. Best to visit during offpeak hours.

👍🏻 The spaces are wide and varied, as there are 3 places, the first in the wide corridor with other restaurants, the second inside and the third overlooking the Burj Khalifa fountain, suitable for the winter atmosphere. 👍🏻 The menu is varied but it is a suitable choice for lovers of dessert and coffee. 👍🏻 I recommend a try Um Ali with coffee. 👍🏻 Prices are reasonable and balance with the quality of the food.
