I would not recommend flying with Sri Lankan Airlines based on my recent experience. I arrived at the airport around 1:30 pm for my 6:45 pm flight, but was informed that the flight would be delayed until 8:10 pm. This delay was inconvenient, but what followed was even worse. After several hours of waiting, the airline cancelled the flight and promised to provide accommodation and food for passengers. However, the process of getting to the hotel was a nightmare. We were made to wait for hours and struggled financially before being put in a transport at 1:00 am. The hotel check-in process took another hour, and we were not given dinner as promised. To make matters worse, we only got 2.5 hours of sleep before being woken up at 5:00 am to return to the airport for the rescheduled flight at 7:30 am. When we got to the airport, we were informed that the flight was delayed yet again until 9:15 am. The Sri Lankan Airlines staff were unhelpful and unsympathetic, and did not provide us with any breakfast or other assistance. This experience was incredibly frustrating, and I cannot stress enough how disappointed I am with the airline's customer service. To add insult to injury, we had not received our luggage, and were forced to wear the same clothes since the previous night. Overall, my experience with Sri Lankan Airlines was one of the worst I've ever had with an airline. I would not recommend this airline to anyone, and advise others to choose a different airline for their travels.

I got my flight cancelled suddenly for an unknown reason. But when I contact city office Miss TANIYA, S Service was top notch. She got my flight rescheduled almost in 10 min. TANIYA is very professional & polite agent. Thank you for your service.

Booked 2 business class from Sydney to Dubai and 5 day transit in Colombo at Cinnamon Grand Hotel. Whole trip is with Sri lanka air. Sydney to Colombo was delayed 4 hrs due to technical issue and hardly any feedback re status of the delay. Food from Syd to Cmb was ok and unfortunately at Colombo airport they had steps to the bus and good SL Air flight staff helped my wife all the way to the ground. Hotel was great and very big selection of food for breakfast and dinner and friendly staff as well. I recommend Cinnamon Grand to anyone. When we were leaving from Colombo to Dubai it was utter chaos at airport boarding since again bus was supplied and boarding was unruly and chaotic and worst is no one is supervising this mess and when asked to help my wife to the steps ground staff refused. This how bad Colombo airport staff are.. All are hired via political connections and they are all lazy and inefficient. Food from Colombo to Dubai was terrible and not even suitable for economy class although we were in Business class. We are supposed to leave Dubai to Sydney at end of this week and will let you know the experience. I am worried about my wife since she is frail and cannot handle aircraft steps. Airline need to get their act together since experience with them and Colombo airport is a terrible mess indicate they don’t care for even top travellers. CMB immigration is good and very fast. Although check in was terrible. This is my return leg review about Sri Lanka Air.. Dubai to Colombo trip is ok and food is fine as well. Step stairs again once landed in Colombo and some one helped my wife to go down on those steps. This is not acceptable since what happened to Colombo Airport? Other issue was 19 hrs transit at colombo airport to get Sydney flight. Went out of the airport and came back after 17 hrs. Leaving the airport and coming back was ok. I shouldn't give a 3-star rating after getting frustrated trying to reach customer service for a long time. I kindly request an improvement in service to ensure calls are answered or a callback option is provided. Maintaining a high standard is essential, especially for our national carrier. :)

Poor customer service no one answering the call… I call them more than one hour
