Disappointing Experience – Far from the Luxury Promised I recently visited Talise Ottoman Spa for a side-by-side couple’s massage and was thoroughly disappointed from the moment we entered the treatment room. We were assigned the “Ionian” room, and the experience fell short of expectations in almost every aspect. The space had a stale, unpleasant oil smell and felt like it hadn’t been used—or properly maintained—for quite some time. The furniture and interiors were dull and far from the opulent experience one would expect from a spa that positions itself as a luxurious, award-winning destination. While I understand the intention to recreate a classical “Ottoman” atmosphere, this shouldn’t translate into a room that feels rusty, unkempt, or uninviting. The massage bed itself carried a lingering oil odor, and even the in-room shower had a foul smell that made the post-treatment experience uncomfortable. To make matters worse, we could clearly hear the bathroom drain from an adjacent room every time it was used—something you absolutely don’t expect in a setting marketed as serene and exclusive. Such basic hygiene and maintenance issues are simply unacceptable for a brand of this caliber, especially considering the premium prices they charge compared to standard spas. The massage itself was average at best—not something that could redeem the overall experience. Additionally, the indoor pool for men is surprisingly small and underwhelming, unlike the much larger facility featured on the website, which we later found out is for women only. Perhaps other guests might receive better rooms and walk away with a different impression. But the Ionian room we were given should not be in use at all—it’s significantly below the standards Talise Ottoman Spa claims to uphold.

I am a regular client of spa salons, but this was my first time in this spa. This spa is really big and beautiful, but it does not have a "culture of silence". And here's why: firstly, this spa allows you to come with small children - in the changing room where you are already preparing for rest and peace, there were two children who were screaming loudly and watching cartoons on a tablet, as if they were at home, not in a spa salon. Secondly, during my massage, the cleaners in the corridor were making so much noise that my masseuse Sharmila was forced to break away from the massage process 4 times (!!!) and go out into the corridor to ask the cleaners to be quiet. This is not normal, this should not happen in any spa, and especially not in this one! During the massage, I was unable to relax and feel pleasure, since the cleaners were constantly rattling something metal, it looked like it was a cart for transporting towels, I even took a photo. At the moment when Sharmila went out into the corridor, I also got out of bed, since the process was disrupted. Sharmila is a great specialist and did a good massage. But the spa should be quiet and calm so that a person who came there to relax and paid a lot of money, gets what he came for. My masseuse could not finish the massage and suggested that we interrupt it and give me a refund, since she felt stressed because of what was happening in the hallway. We also did not do the second procedure "head massage". They have not returned my money yet, they have not given me any receipts either, I will see if they return it. But I hope for the integrity of this spa salon. I hope that they will correct the situation with their employees, will be able to ensure silence during beauty treatments and I expect a refund.

Booked in for a hammam and massage. Located on the Palm Jumeirah and being in the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray Hotel make sure you plan your journey well as from Downtown Dubai can take 45 minutes. The experience was amazing. Felt like your walking into royalty. Started off with the Sultan Hammam which is a Turkish style hammam experience was scrubbed well then given a honey mask then s waah down. Loved it. Massage was equally good and relaxing. Got to use the jaccuzi/sauna/steam room. I was there for almost 4 hours in total. Well worth the experience the ambiance and setting is very relaxing indeed.
