Thalluvandi Restaurant Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO)

A South Indian cuisine restaurant that serves good tastey food. We tried their kerala porota and chicken curry which was spicy but tastey. Parotta could have been more fluffier though. However the curry was superb. Also had idly sambaar combo and was fine as well. They had decent ambience and parking is available as paid parking along the roadside. Staff was friendly.

The atmosphere and service was pity decent, food was South Indian and biriyani was ok, ghee rice and chicken curry was good, I like their chutneys for idli.

The restaurant boasts a great ambiance that immediately sets the mood for an authentic South Indian dining experience. The menu is filled with a delightful array of South Indian dishes, complete with tempting combo offers. However, it's worth noting can be a bit on the expensive side, especially if you don't opt for the combo deals. Additionally, I found the customer service to be somewhat lacking; it didn't quite match up to the overall experience. Despite these minor drawbacks, I must say we enjoyed a delicious breakfast during our visit.

Neatly tucked in the corner of Q1 mall in DSO lies this little gem dining spot. Great breakfast with the food hot and crispy which serves a perfect way to start your day. I tried the Masala Dosa which was made to perfection with the right amount of crispiness (not burnt!) and the potato masala in the centre was just right (neither too lumpy nor too runny). After finishing that I longed for a little more of the crispy dosa and thought I’d try the plain dosa this time around. I wasn’t disappointed and it came out just as perfect as its masala sibling. Crispy when being broken and crunchy while being eaten; an absolute tactile experience for both fingers and tongue ! I tried their fresh milk tea. You can ask them to make it strong or without sugar too; depending on your likes. Overall, a definite breakfast recommendation if you’re looking for an early South Indian menu.
