VIVA Supermarket - DIP, Dubai

Viva Supermarket has great prices, definitely one of the most budget-friendly options around. That said, this particular location has a pretty limited selection, so you might not find everything you need. Also, there’s no air conditioning, which makes shopping really uncomfortable, especially in the heat. If you’re just grabbing a few basics and want to save money, it works, but don’t expect a full grocery haul in comfort.

This supermarket is a great choice for affordable shopping with a wide variety of products. The store is clean and well-organized, and one of its standout features is the abundance of parking spaces, which makes it super convenient. The only downside is that the cash counters tend to have a queue most of the time. However, the cashiers are incredibly efficient and work quickly, so the wait is usually not too long. Overall, it’s a pleasant and budget-friendly shopping experience!

Competitive prices on day-to-day things and groceries. I always prefer to buy things from here unless its something that they dont have (they usually have european imports). Great frozen food section, lots of options. Definitely the cheapest (without compromising on quality) option to go to for those who do not have specific ethnic food/grocery requirements.

One of the worst VIVA branches I’ve ever visited! The store has a very wide area and extremely high ceilings, yet there’s no proper air conditioning—only a few portable AC units that clearly can’t handle the size of the space. I was literally melting while shopping and will definitely not be coming back. More importantly, I can’t imagine how the employees manage to work in such harsh conditions during the summer. It’s completely inhumane. Please take urgent action to install a proper air conditioning system—not just for the customers, but especially for the staff who spend long hours there.

If I could give less than 1 star, I would. This Viva branch in DIP 1 is one of the worst shopping experiences I've had. The store is consistently dirty, the fridges barely keep items cold, and there hasn't been proper air conditioning for what feels like a year—it's extremely uncomfortable inside. There are always long queues with only 1 or 2 cashiers working, causing unnecessary delays. To make matters worse, I noticed insects among the fruits, which is completely unacceptable. This place urgently needs management attention and proper hygiene standards.
