The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and welcoming. I felt at ease right away because to the lovely decor, cozy sitting, and gentle lighting. With precisely balanced spices and fresh vegetables, the Japanese eggplant and buratta had an amazing flavor. The stir-fried kung pao chicken was praised by my dinner companion, and the chocolate matcha fondant with green tea center is a culinary masterpiece. Excellent service was also provided, with helpful and kind employees like Vivian going above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. For anyone looking for a tasty and comfortable dinner, I heartily recommend this hidden treasure of a restaurant in Sofitel Downtown

It was a pleasure to celebrate my birthday here, and I have no regrets. The moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and made to feel welcome. The setting was spectacular, and the food was exceptional. Certainly a sophisticated restaurant with a romantic and elegant dining atmosphere. We were served by Paulina, she was really nice with a great smile and did an impeccable service fulfilling my request to make my birthday celebration unforgettable. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my experience and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a special fine dining experience.

I throughly enjoyed the classes that wakame had to offer. All the chefs did a fine job teaching me what I needed to know and we all had a good time and good conversation overall. I had a great time and would recommend if anyone wants to learn or have an idea about making Japanese dishes!

Had an office lunch celebration for 9 people. (The room can take up to 20 I believe). I love that they have a private meeting/dinning space (it has curtains so you can be secluded from the rest of the restaurant). We chose the set menu of 350 AED and was more than enough. Some people got full before the main course. (I am still craving their duck salad!) They have a data show which we used to play some team games and online activities We got to bring our own decorations and 2 layers cake. Hitesh was a great support from planning till execution. Everything went smooth, the team was astonished with the luxurious level of the set up. I totally recommend Wakame for a fine dining experience or a fancy small celebration 🎉

Beautifully set up in the restaurant! I love the decor! Food was ok I can’t say great! Maki was delicious. Sliders are too small, ordinary. I have tried wok sea food. So oily I didn’t like it.
