Hertz - Dubai Marina

I will never use this service again. I am extremely disappointed with the Hertz Dubai Marina branch. I rented a car from them for three months, and now they are asking me to pay for a tiny chip—less than 0.1 cm on the front windshield, which was likely caused by a small stone while driving. I had paid for full insurance during the entire rental period. I paid a significant amount to be covered for exactly these kinds of minor damages or scratches that can happen without the driver even noticing while driving. However, the manager told me that full insurance only covers the damage if there is a police report. So am I supposed to go to the police station and ask them to issue a report for such a tiny chip? This is incredibly disappointing. I used Hertz in the U.S. and was very satisfied, which is why I chose Hertz again here. But this experience completely undermines Hertz’s reputation.

His approach was highly consultative, making me feel like I was in great hands. The process was then very smooth with Hertz overall, and I really appreciated the seamless experience. I have rented cars from Hertz all around the world, but service of HERTZ UAE is a nightmare. i rented a car in April for 8 days but upon receiving the car, i noticed weird mechanical sounds coming underneath and as i felt it was unsafe to drive, i requested a replacement car immediately. they kept promising to send me a replacement everyday but they have not send a replacement in 6 days, so i returned the car - even almost without driving it, and requested a refund of at least the remaining days of the contract. Agent received the car and apologised, and said that it will be refunded shortly. After few hours, i was notified that extra amount was deducted from my credit card by Hertz, and when i called, i was told that it was an 'early termination fee' - which was not communicated with me at all! Imagine you receive a car not safe to drive, they dont provide a replacement for almost a week and when i return the car, they charged extra amount for 'early return'!! I requested a refund of the extra charges, and despite they confirmed that full refund will be made, i have been waiting for almost 2 months to get my money back. I have sent many emails requesting an update - but they never reply, many phone calls to their call center, each time they promise that they will call back but never actually called back. Dont expect a Hertz Global level of service from Hertz UAE, this is how they are treating their customers, with no respect, and no care about the services that they provide.

No matter in which country, Hertz always provided great service. I booked a car online and choose to pick it up from Dubai Marina office and drop it in Abu Dhabi airport. This extra service cost me just 30 AED! The car was new, in good condition and clean as always.
