I have been a premier customer in HSBC HK for the past 4 years and the service was excellent. However, my experience with HSBC UAE has been the worst. The bank blocked my account due lack of residency evidence. I managed to get confirmation from my hotel apartments and the bank lifted the restriction. HSBC emailed that I have got 1 month to submit my UAE ID and enroll my fingerprint. Then about 2 weeks later, the bank suddenly blocked my account. I waited until I got my UAE ID and enrolled my fingerprint as HSBC arranged but the account remained blocked. I couldn't use my debit card or transfer money to my daughter's school. I called the premier customer service several times but all they did was asking when I received the email, when I registered UAE ID and Fingerprint etc. How can I possibly remember every detail? The bank should have all these in their record. Why don't they check themselves? The bank makes money with my deposit. They are supposed to work for me not the other way around. To fix this problem once and for all, I visited a branch which turned out a customer service centre with no banking service. A customer service officer there confirmed my account is blocked which I already know! She said there's nothing much she can do and told me that she sent an email to two connected teams. After 1 week, my account remained blocked. I called the premier customer services and they asked same thing again - when I received email, when I registered UAE ID, when I visited the customer services etc. This is ridiculous because they have or should have all these records in their system. They were just wasting my time and their time by asking same things again and again. When I asked if there's a case number or reference number, I was told that there's no such thing. When I asked if a designated person has been assigned to this matter, they said they don't know. What kind of customer services is this! I am very disappointed with HSBC UAE services and don't want to deal...
I request everyone please don’t open any account in this bank, they are deducting money without any informations, it’s been 2 years since i opened the account, for last 3 months they are deducting money from my account and they don’t even provide a proper reason for it I’m writing this again on 03 AUG 2025, let’s raise the issues with this bank in legal way and we’ll try to close this bank in UAE, Because UAE provides best services from all the sides except this worst bank. Even the poor countries has better banking services than this one
Yet again had an exceptional experience with HSBC via Mostafa Elghamrawy (Downtown Branch) he assisted me just 6 minutes before closing time and wrapped up my request efficiently within 3 minutes. The team's dedication to delivering top-notch service, whether online, over the phone, or in-branch, is truly impressive. Kudos HSBC!
The worst bank in UAE. I have unlimited issues with this bank, and th4ir performance is getting worse. The worst Internet banking service, and the worst of the worst customer service ever. There is no security. My account has been hacked several times. It was a very big mistake opening an account in this bank. It's not recommended AT ALL.
Recently I had a terrible experience with HSBC phone banking. They deducted Dhs 150 for each transaction to my overseas account in India. When I asked the phone banking they did not answer my request properly. I told them that I am unaware of the incurred charges (it was not like that before) for which he responded saying that it was my responsibility to read the terms and conditions. I responded saying that I would be closing the account if my AED 300 wont be reimbursed (2 transactions) for which he said "Your wish". I visited your bank this morning. I was received warmly by Sura and Christine, they gave me positive assurances for each of my grievance. They held an example of how a customer service should be. ONLY FOR THOSE TWO LADIES I GIVE FIVE STARS. But in any case please be assured that if you are not reversing my AED 300 I will be closing the account sooner or later.
