Lunar Hostel

Lunar is an amazing hostel to stay in JBR, Dubai. It offers a perfect location near the beach and tram, provides clean and comfortable bed space, good living room, and creates a great social atmosphere for travelers. I think the main points about this hostel is cleanliness and proximity. Thanks.

Horrible ?? Where do I even start! Since the receptionist arrived, she was super rude, not welcoming at all, barely spoke to me. I had reserved a room for 6 people, all women, and when I arrived at the reception, she told me this was my room and put me in a mixed room for 12 people! I got upset and told her that this was not what I had reserved/paid for, and she said that's what they had available. I got even more upset and asked how it was possible when I had already reserved and paid for the room, and she wouldn't even respond. She ignored me and told me to sit down and wait while she spoke with the "manager." Later, they offered me a mixed room for 8 people, and again, I told her this was not what I had reserved or paid for, that they should return my money. They only refunded part of it and told me I needed to contact Hostelworld to get the rest back since they had offered me a room and I didn’t accept it, even though it wasn’t the one I reserved. I showed them that on Hostelworld it still showed that the room for 6 women was available, and they told me it wasn't their problem that the website wasn’t updated. They started responding to me even more rudely, saying it was now my problem, not theirs. Worst service ever.

There are endless problems here. First, they falsely advertise 4-bed dorms when, in reality, they are 8-bed dorms. Next, they expect 12-15 men to share a single bathroom (one shower and one toilet). Additionally, my bed’s outlet did not work. The owner promised a partial refund that he never gave. Lastly, the pool is always mysteriously inaccessible. I feel badly for his lovely employees who deserve to work somewhere much better. They did their best in the given circumstances. The hostel has great WiFi and awesome city views, but this does not justify the poor experience that you are sure to have here.

Amazing! I had a really good time for New Year’s. The hostel is clean, very friendly and safe. Close to the beach, marina and traim station. Omar is very friendly guide giving me a great time in Abu Dhabi as well.

Don't give false hopes and make empty promises knowing you won't keep them. After booking I have requested them for lower side bed as the travelers are senior citizens and they promised twice that they will but after reaching the hostel they didn't have vacant bed in the dorm. While in the other hand the booking is confirmed. They harassed them for hours and shifted to another hostel and only offered 1 bed in the lower side. I requested them many times but no one helped. They even charged extra money for 2 days. They are running scams. Very very unprofessional. I would not recommend anyone *** this type of harassment and scam they did before also .. check the old reviews. YOU book a good dorm but they will provide u the worst one.
