Baseless deduction from the Security Deposit:- We stayed for one year in the KW250 Building of Sinclair in Karama. From the second month, the bathroom's roof started leaking rusty AC water into the floor and closet which we reported to them on first sight itself. A person came and checked the roof and went away saying maintenance guys will come and inspect. We contacted them on the same matter again but no-one came for this during our tenure. Same was the case with the paint of the wall outside the bathroom getting broken down and kept falling on the floor. We reported it on our first notice itself but no-one came for inspection. Upon moving out after our tenancy contract period, when enquiring about our Security Deposit refund, they charged an amount of AED 1000 for maintenance including re-painting. Us paying for the re-painting is not included in our Tenancy Contract on the move-out clauses, so why should we pay for it? They obviously charged this amount for the first two issues which happened not because of our fault. We cleaned the apartment to the utmost perfection and gave it back in the original condition(except the above issues which was reported and not caused by us) when moving out and this is what they are giving back. Totally disappointed.
